Innovation in Live Casino was one of a number of award categories at the EGR Operator Innovation Awards held at the Pavilion at the Tower of London earlier in the month.
The winner of the award was William Hill.
The awards were adjudicated by a panel of judges selected by EGR and which included…
“…among our luminary judges former CEOs, MDs and board directors of public companies and household name gambling brands; highly successful entrepreneurs and innovators; as well as key advisers to the industry
In case you are wondering, the panel didn’t include any current William Hill directors/board members; nor did it include any directors/board members of any of the other operators shortlisted in this and other categories.
The criteria used to decide who was the best innovator when it came to the Live Casino category aren’t specified at the award’s website. Perhaps the notion of general innovation was all the criteria the judges needed?
It’s also not clear whether the declared winner, William Hill, was judged based on innovation across all their live casino products (ie including both Evolution Gaming and Playtech live games) or just the Evolution Gaming powered casino which seems to be the product they are giving most exposure to these days. It’ now branded simply as William Hill Live Casino (as if it’s their only one).
It is here that there has unquestionably been plenty of innovation in recent times, such as:
- Launching the largest Evolution Gaming private live casino room
- Introduction of (London Mayfair trained) VIP Hosts in this room
- Salle Privée tables offering the highest live limits
- Early adoption of iPad playable live games
Either way, congratulations William Hill on a well deserved win.
One last thing…can you re-open your doors to players from Australia please?
